Back Stitch

Make it stand out.
Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
Boucle Stitch
A 3-D stitch used on the banksias to best represent these beautiful flowers.
French > Knot
Can be worked as single, double, treble or quaduple knots. Great for eyes and textured embellishment.
Lazy Daisy
Stitch
Great for flowers and buds, and also useful for tree foliage and adding texture, such as the fish (Kimberley).
Running >
Stitch.
Used for quilting and the defining edges, such as the tops of hills.
Satin Stitch
This is a fill in sstitch used on the buds, animals and some flowers. As the name suggests, when worked well has a smooth finish.
Seed Stitch >
Seed stitch is good for adding texture. The tiny stitches give water a movement and the effect of sand and shadows on the beach.
Silk Ribbon
Silk ribbon embroidery adds another dimension to the work creating rounded leaves/petals used for the wreath flowers (Med West) and verticordia flowers (Eastern Wheatbelt).
Stem Stitch >
This is used for smooth lines such as stems, the tops of hills or defining the shape of an animal.
Straight Stitch.
Used horizontally for tree foliage or vertically for tree trunks, for spinifex and grass.
Pompom >
Many of the flowers are like pompoms - such as the mulla mulla, rose of the west (E. macrocarpa) or the wattle (Acacia sp.)
